DLSS 5 Swapper vs DLSS 5 Manager: Choosing a Tool

Compare the documented DLSS 5 Swapper and DLSS 5 Manager releases by installation, components, diagnostics, and recovery, without unsupported FPS rankings.

Confirm which projects you mean

The projects compared here are rakanki911/DLSS5-Swapper and NODIX-TECH/DLSS-5-MANAGER. The separately maintained beeradmoore/DLSS Swapper manages game upscaler DLLs and should not be confused with the rakanki911 project.

The checked releases are Swapper v2.2.7, September 12, 2026 UTC, and Manager v1.3.3, September 25, 2026. Older comparison videos can show different interfaces and component sets.

Compare features and recovery

Decision Swapper v2.2.7 Manager v1.3.3
Starting point Game library or manual executable selection; explicit installation routes Its own manager workflow and release-specific controls
Components Release lists Feeder, ReShade, ordinary RenoDX, Multipass, and OptiScaler NR variants Check Manager’s component and feature instructions rather than assuming the same package
Controls and diagnostics Route-dependent F8 controls, community reports and diagnostics Release advertises Live Flow 6x, an FPS counter, color controls, and anti-cheat indicators
Recovery decision Documented Restore originals before app removal Establish the current manager’s restore procedure and retained originals before installing

The sources are Swapper’s release and Manager’s v1.3.3 release. A feature being described in a release is different from an independently measured result. Manager’s mentioned v1.3.4 plans or future AMD features should not be read as delivered v1.3.3 behavior.

Choose for your actual task

If your immediate task is using Swapper’s documented routes, start with its compatibility conditions and installation sequence. You should be able to identify your executable, API, input route, model requirements, and recovery path before installing.

If a Manager-specific feature is your reason for switching, verify it in that project’s current release and check your GPU and game requirements. An anti-cheat indicator is information to investigate, not permission from the game operator. A project’s “open source” wording also does not by itself establish an MIT license for everything it ships.

Compare fairly if you test both

Restore the first setup completely before installing the second. Keep the same driver, game build, API, resolution, scene, and measurement duration. Compare stable behavior, visual quality, response, and repeatability rather than choosing whichever counter is larger.

Follow the performance measurement guide and Swapper recovery steps. Running both injectors simultaneously would test an interaction, not provide a clean comparison of the two products.

Decide from your own configuration

This is a feature comparison, not a performance benchmark. Choose the tool with a documented route for your configuration and a recovery procedure you can follow. Confirm stability and image quality in the same scene before keeping the new setup.
