Is DLSS 5 Swapper Safe? Check the Source and Risks

Check DLSS 5 Swapper's download source, published hashes, component origins, and security alerts, while separating file integrity from game account risk.

Start with the exact source

Use rakanki911/DLSS5-Swapper and its own release assets. Check the owner and project spelling, because a similarly named website or the separate beeradmoore tool may refer to something else.

For a Nexus Mods listing or another download mirror, check the uploader, version, and links against the project’s own published sources. If you cannot confirm that relationship, use the developer’s GitHub release.

Our download guide lists the two checked v2.2.7 packages and the hashes published with that release. A file with a matching name can still be different; compare the computed SHA-256 with the publisher’s value for that exact version.

Understand what each check proves

Check What it supports What it cannot prove
Correct GitHub owner and release You reached the intended publisher’s distribution That the binary has no vulnerabilities
Matching SHA-256 File agrees with the published checksum That the publisher’s file is harmless
Visible source and application license Source and stated reuse terms can be inspected That every downloaded component has the same license or was independently audited
Successful launch The program ran in that environment That game modification is permitted or safe for an account
Restore files retained A documented recovery path may be available A guarantee against every failure or lost external modification

The application’s MIT license and third-party notices should be read separately. ReShade native add-ons and injected components execute code; they are not merely image presets.

If Windows or security software raises an alert

Record the product reporting the alert, exact detection name, file path, version, source URL, and file hash. Check whether the alert concerns the desktop application or a component installed in a game. Review the publisher’s relevant release note and the security product’s details before taking action.

A missing reputation or signing warning and a malware detection are different signals. Historical publisher statements about unsigned builds or false positives do not establish the status of every current binary. Do not disable all protection or add a broad folder exclusion as a default installation step.

The files listed here have not been independently scanned or executed by this site. Review any security alert before running them; the download links are not a clean-scan certification.

Preserve control of the installation

Start from a working game, record its existing mods, install one route, and retain recovery files. The component guide identifies the major moving parts. If the result is unwanted, close the game and follow Restore originals before removing the application.

The project also documents opt-in in-app Community features. Read the current README’s community and privacy section before submitting reports or using chat. This independent guide site’s privacy practices do not describe data submitted through the separate desktop application.

Check account rules independently

A clean download, successful neural effect, or another user’s unbanned account does not constitute permission from an online game’s operator. Read the Genshin and anti-cheat risk guide before considering a protected game. Source verification, technical stability, and account rules are three separate decisions.
