DLSS 5 Swapper Compatibility: RTX 3060 and Beyond

Check DLSS 5 Swapper requirements for RTX 3060 and other GPUs, separating Windows, drivers, APIs, models, game routes, and the compact overlay's limits.

Does it work on an RTX 3060?

The project README lists RTX 20, 30, 40, and 50 series for its ReShade / Feeder setup using a modified runtime. This includes the RTX 3060’s family. The listing comes from the project; it is not an NVIDIA certification or a tested result for every game.

The useful question is whether your game and route meet the conditions below. A graphics-card name alone cannot answer it.

Find the next check for your setup

Choose a route before you install

Start with your graphics card and game. We'll narrow down the documented route and show what still needs checking.

Project requirements
Prefer the written checklist?
Investigate the native DLSS / RenoDX route
The project documents a native route for eligible DX12 games. This is a starting point; it does not establish a successful neural pass for your game.
Investigate the ReShade / Feeder route
The project lists this route for compatible games without native DLSS. Success still depends on the game's inputs, matched components and runtime.
Check the native-input consumer before installing
Native DLSS with this renderer needs a route-specific check. Eligible OptiScaler paths have additional input, bitness and model requirements; the Blackwell model is not a universal older-card solution.
Check the legacy renderer or emulator route
Legacy APIs need renderer- and bitness-specific bridging. This helper cannot establish those conditions from a generic renderer label.
Check whether the game offers DirectX 11
Swapper v2.2.7's Feeder integration does not directly support DX10. A feature in a separate Feeder release may not be available through this app.
Check support for this GPU before installing
Swapper's ReShade / Feeder requirements list RTX 20, 30, 40 and 50 families. Support for AMD, GTX or Intel in another upscaling component does not establish support for this neural-rendering route.
The download requires Windows 10/11 x64
The v2.2.7 installer and portable application are for Windows. Linux/Proton and other systems do not have a confirmed installation procedure in this guide.
Check the game's rules first
An installation route cannot tell you whether a game permits injected components. Do not use a technical support listing as permission for an account or protected session.

The compact F8 panel is limited to the documented x64 DX11/DX12 Feeder or RenoDX v4.7 setup, with Swapper running. Multipass uses Home.

Your driver is newer than the publisher's last measured baseline. v2.2.7 permits installation with a warning; this is not proof that all newer drivers fail.

Your answers carry over to the installation guide in this browser tab. Use Start again to clear them. The helper does not scan your hardware or upload your answers.

Check the GPU family and the game separately

The RTX 2060 and 2070 Super belong to the listed 20 series; the 3060 and 3080 Ti to the 30 series; and the 4060 to the 40 series. Each still needs a matching game, driver, renderer, and consumer. An AMD, GTX, or Intel card needs its own explicit support statement; support for another upscaler does not establish support for this route.

For online games such as WoW or Path of Exile 2, check modification rules as well as the technical requirements. A listed GPU does not establish that these games permit or support the installation.

Read the OptiScaler DLSS-NR release conditions separately from Swapper’s integrated route. Upstream support for more input upscalers does not automatically make those options available in Swapper’s current interface.

System, renderer, and control-panel requirements

Layer Requirement to check
Desktop application Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
Feeder runtime Required Visual C++ x64 runtime; a 32-bit game can also need x86 and its documented bridge
Native route Game provides the expected native DLSS input and uses the matching consumer
Non-native route Supported ReShade / Feeder API and usable depth or motion inputs
Multipass DX12, DX11, or 64-bit DX9; its own consumer and Home panel
Compact F8 overlay Supported 64-bit DX11/DX12 setup, add-on-capable ReShade, Feeder or RenoDX v4.7, and Swapper running

The F8 overlay’s limits are narrower than the tool’s complete installation list. Vulkan, OpenGL, and legacy routes must not be judged solely by whether F8 appears. Swapper’s current DX10 integration also differs from Feeder’s upstream documentation.

Driver warnings are conditional

The v2.2.7 release names 616.56 as the last driver measured by the publisher to complete a neural pass. It explicitly permits installation with a warning on newer drivers. Reports of success or failure also depend on the consumer and overlays running alongside the game.

Do not read this as an instruction for every user to downgrade. Record your current driver, consult the route’s notes, and establish a reproducible failure first. An untested cell in an upstream hardware table means untested, not zero performance or guaranteed incompatibility.

Decide whether to proceed

If the system, renderer, GPU route, and model conditions match, follow first installation with a working baseline and restore files. For games without native DLSS, use the Feeder checklist.

If the combination remains uncertain, record it as unverified and consult the project’s game and GPU reports. These are community observations, not universal results. Performance is a separate question covered by measurement and tuning; account permission is covered by online-game risk.
