Release notes and published checksums

Portable describes how the application is launched. It does not mean games remain untouched or that deleting this executable restores them. Both forms use components installed into selected games. GitHub’s source-code archives are not the ready-to-run Windows application.

Verify the file before running it

1. Open the checked release and expand Assets.
2. Match the filename and version to the package you intended to download.
3. In PowerShell, compute the file’s SHA-256 with Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 followed by its quoted path.
4. Compare the result with the publisher’s checksum on that same release.

The checked assets contain two executables and no separate SHA256SUMS.txt attachment. A matching hash confirms file consistency with the published value; it does not establish that a program is harmless. For an alert or mismatch, stop and use the source and safety checks.

The desktop application requires Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. GPU, driver, game API, and component requirements depend on the selected route. Read the compatibility guide before interpreting a successful download as support for your game.

Once the application opens, follow installation and first use. Successful downloading means the intended file was acquired and checked; successful game setup additionally requires the right executable, completed installation, loaded components, and a working rendering path.

Older versions and recovery

Use the project’s release history to find a real older release and read its notes. Do not guess old attachment URLs. A newer desktop application can coexist with older components already installed in a game; consult the update procedure.
